i was driving to altona and saw a big lake, i think it was called cherry lake, does anyone kite there?

No. A few of the local windsurfers used to but found they were all getting sick. Look up the hill at the plastics factory and I think you can work it out !
Altona beach is flat water enough & cleaner wind.

S thru ESE is OK. Anything W generally gusty as coming off land.
