I'm planning a trip in Jan with friends from Melb & want to find some waves in a cross to cross off wind anywhere from Augusta to Geraldton.

We have a 4WD
Any thoughts ?

If you go downwind between dongara and coronation there are waves to suit just about everybody from cross on to cross off (if your lucky In The evenings)

Basically the whole coast faces west, the sea breeze is a southerly so it's all cross shore.
Cross off in a se and a few nooks and crannies geographically.

Just come and enjoy! There is no one perfect spot, just 2000 km of beautiful coast to explore and enjoy!

Nothing to do with the thread topic but the shark comment - heard today that the science boffins are thinking / looking into a spike in sea temps off the WA coast that is bringing the critters in a big closer (no doubt its actually the bait fish etc attracting them). So perhaps/maybe the the shark 'invasion' on the wa coast is actually a real phenomena (sp??) - and that there might be a reason for it - scary scary !!!
Hmm back to the thread re waves - only limited experience in WA - but the place rocks ( apart from the sharks!!)
