I was the one asking for advice on using the dirtsufer with a kite awhile back.
I got a few really good tips from you guys and now I`ve been using the dirtsurfer heaps.
They are a little unstable until you get up to speed, ie. a bit tricky when you first start, but you soon get used to it, the up side is that the faster you go you more stable it becomes and no speed wobbles like a atandard style mountain board.
The best thing for me is that when there isn`t enough wind for good kiteboarding I`m having a blast on the dirtsufer while everyone else is just sitting on the beach.
Because the rolling resistance is so low the "apparent wind effect" is amazing. If there is enough wind to fly a kite, your stylin.

After my first really high speed stack, in which I lost lots of skin, I got a rockgardn flak jacket and some old skateboarding knee pads, both of which have saved me from loosing lots more skin to the sand.
I can highly recomend a dirtsufer.
