im not sure what the deal is the guy gave me a ring last week asked a heap of questions for the article, he must of gone down to scarbs and taken a shot of the first big move he saw. Does anyone know the name of the move in question , and how to set up for it? is the move landed with both feet back in the straps? is there a kite loop or slider involved?? nice to see the safety leach, nice shot for airrush, But who is that guy? On the next page you have a picture of two winsurfers. The sails being used are at least 10 years old maybe older. To have two old sails in one shot in 2004 is unlikely. My guess is he has used a Google photo search and used the first action photo that he found. Allan
Can't give a name. However it could be as old as 2002: that green/white chicken loop rope was phased out in Oz around the end of 2002 and considering it wore so quickly, to still have the rope in as good condition as it is in that photo (now almost 2 years later), the photo must be pretty old. Also I don't recognise the man or the wetsuit. Not that many Fusions are out and about in WA, the one pictured hit Oz end of 2002. Maybe it is a photo of someone overseas that the journo got of the internet, as Keysey suggested. I think we are all having a chuckle, the journalist obviously has no idea the guy is about to wipe out and probably get unceremoniously dragged :-) Jess
It wouldn't surprise me if they had grabbed it from the internet. Page three last week had a photo from a three year old e-mail of a bull spiking a matador up the clacker, with headline "Bull gets his own back" or some really lame equivalent.
The Sunday Times is an absolute bloody joke of a newspaper, and has been among Journalists for many years! How stupid do they think people are?
