Went for a kite yesterday afterwork. gusty cross shore. slashed up some waves rode down the line. did some jumps and loops and general goofing around.

Finished the session to find out I had dry hair!. Nice.

Not often i pull of a dry hair sessionbut its worthy when i do.

I still remember clearly the stoke of my first dry-kite session 4 years ago. Sure I was just mowing the lawn and doing some bum-in-the-water-stop-and-restart transitions but to not drop my kite was incredibly satisfying.

But yeah, these days dry hair or kite is a sign of not trying hard enough for sure.

Hmm. Don't think I've ever had a dry hair session in 8 years of kiting. Sometimes go for a few tacks with dry hair, 10 or 15 minutes maybe...

So yourve never had a session where everything clicks and you don't crash your brains out? sad.

PS I have plenty of dry kite sessions!. i'm in a big wave location wet kite = high possibility of damaged kite. So i go to great lengths not to crash it into the surf. I'll loop it and go for high speed chest surfing before letting it crash into the impact zone.

dry hair session sounds gay but i suppose it is a bonus in the land of the long white sheep where the water is probably 10 000 below zero.

I done a session a whille back on a light onshore day with a narrow beach with a fence, its amazing when you know you dont want to be droping that kite that you try your hardest not to.
kite droped= many little kite pieces

yes the sheep certainly enjoy blokes with dry hair!.

ps 10000 bellow zero?

I feel the need to give you a science lesson.

Absolute zero or the lowest possible temperature is -273.15 deg C. There can no lower temperatures!

Take that for a scientific burn. !

Dry hair sessions for me are usually mellow wave-riding days. Time to go strapless and hit the lip harder.
Day after day of 25 gusting 40 knot winds is getting tiresome. A mellow 18 knots would be nice for a change. This spring has been so much better than the last two rubbishy La Nina years.

Maybe next time take your shower cap off and not worry about the salt water destroying your new perm. lol

I've never had a dry hair session because I've never landed a jump....but my lord have I gone high. We all have different priorities.
