Hope you survived .looked like you were getting a good ol spankin .
To anyone else thinking of kiting the harbour in a westerly these are the things to watch out for .its a busy working harbour and don't expect pasha sized coal carriers and tugs to give way ,the wind shadow when they go past is horrendoous ,the breakwall takes like crap when you smash into it ,the oyster beds are pretty sharp when you wash up on them ,hmm anything else .Oh yes the council will probably ban kitesurfing on every Newcastle beach when your kite hits someone excercising fido on dog crap beach ( and don't step in the do do) and you will be the most popular person amongst kiters in the area(not).
Now the sun don't shine out my buttola either ,I've kited it ,just alot to deal with .
