****ing trough, sold my boat and took up kiting this season because I was sick of trying to go boating and surfing in blownout conditions. I was away on holidays for most of Jan (without my kite as i booked my hols before I got into kiting), came back hanging out for a kite.
I lashed out and bought a new board, and the couple of times I've managed to get out in the last two weeks I've had to use my old big light wind board.
Perhaps I should sell my kite and buy another boat so at least the rest of you can have some fun.
Cool cam just wish I could see some whitecaps.

Last day of my 10 days break from work tomorrow, and at long last it looks like some good wind! See you all on some Perth water somewhere!

Hey Knickers, hope you see this before you go out, be vewy vewy careful today. That goes for any newbies intending to go out in Perth today. 30 knots is strong wind (duh). If you haven't kited in wind that strong before be advised that it can chew you up and spit you out pretty quick. It's a windspeed that most experienced kiters will only get three or four times a year, and generally, with c-kites, don't always have a kite small enough for. I'd guess most normal sized people would be needing a 7 or smaller by the end of the afternoon.
