Went for a fortnight - got back recently. Had three sessions on the water with the kite. Was OK - the wind really up and down - as trades do. Was on the Coral Coast and Ovalau. Launching at Waidroka was difficult (bad) no beach - had to walk the kite out to the windline - but great lagoon about a km to the reef - some very fast closeouts but fun. Bit underpowered with a 12m.

Getting the buses around is easy and cheap - the resorts are expensive - but you can always stay at a village cheaply, for an experience you wont forget. Great Indian food, plenty of smiles, keep your eyes and mind open. Its pretty much a third world country with rich (as we are seen) tourists. **** goes down.

A Japanese honeymooner got turned into sashimi on a boat trip out to the surf a couple of days before we went out - and we hit the reef and the boat sunk on our trip. We had a short paddle to an island....Im sure there are some great places to kite, and some not so great places....if what was said previously on this site is true.?
