does anybody know of the stuff people use to put on top of a slider/kicker...it sort of looks pvc that has been squashed down to make a flat piece. if anyone knows of anything could they please let me know cause i want to make another slider soon

Hey,

What you are looking for is called HDPE. We used this stuff for Core Slide Jam...6mm seems fine. Its not cheap but well worth it. They use it at cable parks as well so it lasts a lot longer and doesn't abuse your board as much as PVC tube.

HDPE is very flexible Ask for PN 9 pipe of what ever diameter you are after, from any rural merchant store or from some hardware stores. Or go to one of the manufacturers like iplex pipelines or vinidex and see if they have any damaged stuff laying around.

Polyethylene is meant to be really durable and harder then other poly plastics making it less of a chance of catching an edge. All the snow park features use it as HDPE is to soft for the metal edges of snowboards etc. Think they call it puckboard? Also used on the sideboards of ice rinks. Might be another option?
