Hi,

when are you booked to fly there?

You do know that both Simon from GoWindsurfing and Warren from Sailboarding Safaris have kite and windsurfing lessons there don't you?

Talk to both of them and see if they have space for you, unless you really want to go it on your own.

I think the kiting will be done on the beaches facing back to the mainland, and the windsurfing is done on the beaches on the other side. It's such a small island, that you can cross over from one side to the other in a few minutes.

Not being a kiter, I don't really know, but I think the beaches facing away from the mainland are too narrow for launching, and the trees get in the way. You'll definitely see other windsurfers and kiters there, so you'll figure it out.

It looks like the windsurf/kitesurf lessons that Nananu Lodge advertises are the one's run by Simon anyway.

Just make sure you've got boots to protect against the coral!

thanks for that
we dont really want to stay in a backpackers as such... unless we really really have to
we are looking for a private beachfront room and there arent many places that have them on that island...
we dont want to commit to any kiting package and would rather do our own thing but wouldnt mind havin a lesson or 2 with an instructor
i have emailed nananu lodge sooooooo many times but havent heard back from them thats why im asking around on here
we just dont want to end up at fiji staying on the wrong side of an island and have to drag our gear back and forth everyday...

oh and we are going in june
