This clinic is going to be the first of many advanced freestyle and wakestyle clinics planned for coming months all proudly brought to you by Slingshot Kiteboarding, Slingshot Wakeboarding and Mystic Boarding right here in Aus.
Sunday 16 March starting at 8am at Kiteaction Shop, see flyer under events section for more details.
We will have a few big name riders (Slingshot riders dominating the Freestyle Nat's) coming to really add some weight to the coaching, so if you are really looking to advance your riding in any direction we will and want to help! We will have the awesome 2008 Slingshot Rev kites for riding along with a sneak test of the new Turbo Diesel 3 and the of course Slingshots best ever freestyle Kite the Fuel will be available.
As long as you are wanting to improve your riding we want you there, of course though you must have the basics as this is in no way a beginners clinic.
Looking forward to seeing you all there on Sunday, Cheers

Hey folks, if you are coming to the Slingshot Freestyle Clinic hosted by KiteAction on Sunday, could you please have a think about what it is you really are wanting to achieve. We have some of Australias best coaches and riders attending to ensure you as the rider gets maximum benefit from this free day of tuition.
The format will consist of everybody being sorted into groups with a coach and team rider assigned to each group. The groups will be divided by way of level of riding and or trick level you are wanting to learn. For example, Group 1 will be for those riders who are wanting to improve their jumping and basic riding techniques, Group 2 will be for riders looking to add more freestyle tricks and transitions, Group 3 will be for those who want to learn to ride with more power and style unhooked and the last Group will be for the guys who want to start nailing their advanced freestyle tricks like mobes etc.
We will have a Kicker in the water as well, anyone who wants to session the kicker and learn how to hit a kicker, this can be achieved.
There will be quite few Rev's, Fuels and Slingshot boards to ride, but please bring your own equipment first and foremost as an essential element to this clinic will be gear setup and selection etc.
The way the day will unfold will be each Group has a Slingshot or KiteAction Team Rider who will be on the water and will demonstrate the move then riders will duplicate and be coached throughout the move. This format has been proven in previous clinics both in kiting and wakeboarding as the most successful. As people learn in many various ways, this format allows visual, audible and therory based delivery to maximise learning.
Should be a great day with quite a large number already confirmed, and a suitable forecast, will be awesome. If you have any questions you need answering prior to Sunday please call me or PM 0422430430
Best regards, Chris Wardell

The big picture plan is to make these clinics assessable in all the major kiting locations. This is the first one and a lot will be taken from it to help promote and follow on with others.
Slingshot and Mystic are the driving force behind the resurgence of freestyle and this is another form of providing access to the countries best riders, coaches and products. We will also be offering clinics in areas that have cable parks for awesome crossover training cable can provide and to really amp up kiting with kickers and sliders and general powered riding.I
If you can encourage a suitable number of bodies willing to take part then we will bring the riders and coaches to you. This weekend at present has over 25 participants, which is absolutely amazing and a huge tell tale that a freestyle clinic is well over due!
Lets us know!!!

Just want to say a big thankyou to all the riders who turned up today for the freestyle clinic. Everyone came with an awesome attitude which helped in getting things to run smoothly and it made for easy coaching. I saw a lot of people trying things they have never tried before and riders landing some super styley stuff after a few tips from the Slingshot and KiteAction Coaches, so a big well done for coming with the right mindset to just throw down.
The aim of the day was to get people to move a little out of their comfort zone in a very controlled environment. I think everyone achieved this to some degree and I hope everyone learned something about their kiting which can help them progress and continue to enjoy riding!
At one count, there was over 40 Kites in air and no major kite issues bar poor Ken dropping his kite and giving it a nasty rip! Huge turn out, hoping to to keep the flow going into more clinics.
A special mention to a few people, firstly Rod, thank you very much for the use of your JetSki, made for a safe day and made it easy to stay communicatining with all the groups, cheers.
Thank you to all the coaches and team riders, Zebb Peters, Andy Yates from Slingshot, Perry, Mark, Sam, Tommy and Luke from KiteAction, nice work!
Last but not least, thanks to Deitter and Luke and Mark from KiteAction for all the work during the last few weeks to help promote and get the day off the ground.
Anyone who did not get to try any of the Slingshot gear, including the REV, drop in to see the boys at KiteAction and ask for for a ride of any of the Slingshot range and whilst your their ask about the great instructional DVD's that will allow you to continue learning right in your living room!
Again, thank you for a great day!

Hey Guys,
Firstly Congratulations! Can I ask the number of girls that attended the day? I know a lot of girls who would benefit from this kind of thing and am interested to see how many came to this first one.
Thanks and well done.

Well done to all,Great to see everyone getting out of their comfort zone and pushing themselves and others to try new tricks.
We had so many people try and eventually land their first back rolls on the day!
Also a lot of guys perfecting and landing some tech wake style moves aswell, Great stuff!
Its amazing the confidence and results you can achieve when you are kiting and trying tricks in a controlled environment with some coaching.
A BIG THANK YOU to the SlingShot boys for all their efforts.
We will be running another Clinic soon in about 4 weeks time so watch this space and check out the KiteAction web site for the new dates.
