Ah my old board, 4 years on... was crap when i got it is crap now. So wanted to get some opinions swaying towards a new underground 135 or lunacy 132 i way 94kg, kite in chop and sometimes flat and want to get big air and do big tricks, any ideas? oh my board is that crap its hard to give a clear indication of where i am at but i would say intermediate. any ideas?
Your local shop should have a few demo boards to try. There are many good quality boards out there these days. Personally I like something with reasonable flex for pop and shock absorption. Concaves help tracking enourmously in landings and rail to rail transfers are less skaty. A wide tail makes for early planing, good in light winds. Look for quality inserts as well and footpad comfort. Too much rocker can be slow so try before you buy. Get something that is brightly coloured. Dark greens and blues are difficult to see when you lose a board after a stack or the tide takes it.
i rode the 134 recoil comp at 75kg and loved it, best feeling underfoot, i did have bindings on mine but same applies, super smooth and fast, soft on landings and good pop, not much of a fan on the lunacies. UG makes sweet boards too but havnt tried the newer models so cant say.
