skiffs can do 49knots?

anyway its not about going fast.

I have no idea why anyone would rather do that than kiting.

Beyond me.

wait till you can kite than you will see.

Hosko and Vance you guys sound familiar. You sailed at PDSC for a while? GO? I sailed crash test dummies with Richard Howell (dad) and the green boat with steve walters.

hey howley,
yeah i still sail GO from PDSC with Phil, I remember you blasting around from Mounts Bay when we used to occasionally race there.

The nationals are in Perth this year, ive heard rumours that Richard is getting a boat???? any truth in that?

Also cool to hear your coming back hosko - the more competition the better!

Yeah, and it's so accessible and portable and affordable.

Only $20 000 for a decent 470 or skiff, only about 90 minutes rigging time, and you can pack the whole thing down and throw it in the back of a hatch back and head north or south at a moments notice.

Find the right forum you plonkers!

good cherub for the price of 2 new kites and a board. enough said about price.....
we're all kiters here as well so we're not a threat.... they both have their merits.

Cool vance yeah I sailed at MBSC for a while. Dad is looking at a boat, but its a Young 7.8 not a cherub. Hosko I remember juicy at the Chelsea Nats (before you owned it?) having the most insane nosedive I've ever seen. Flying off the back of a wave full speed into the front the next one. Biiiiiigtime catapult action!

yep that boat definately had cartwheeling problems. i have done some spectacular nosedives in it as well. one directly in front of vance, he may remember. the boat just stood vertically on the nose and i was just sitting on the transom 3 metres in the air and dropped between the mast and sidestay haha, it seemed to last an eternity!

yeah i remember... that was a classic!
The entire boat stood out of the water stern up for about 10seconds, haha.

We did the same thing about 2 months ago - but not quite as bad.
