Im heading to the gold coast (palm beach) on the 24th of June for 5 days, I'm not sure if i take my surfboard, or my kite gear. Can anyone suggest which would be best at that time of year. I dont prefer either option, just want to make sure i get it right.

take a surfboard. you are more likely to get good winter swell and offshore wind than good kiting conditions at that time of year. throw in a small kite if you can fit it- you might score a cold strong southerly as well as waves

June? If the wind is blowing it will be SW or W.
Don't bother with kite gear. Bring your surfboard and enjoy the many beach breaks and point breaks that the GC and Northern Rivers has to offer.

You know exactly what is going to happen, so does everyone else here. If you take a surfboard there will be no waves. If you take kites there will be no wind. If you take both there will be no wind and no waves.
