Athlete list, event schedule etc. is on there and gets updated as more info comes in.
As far as I know it's at James Mitchell Park on the river, better known as Heirrison Island (spelling?) but will apparrently be held at Cott main beach (in front of Indiana) if the wind is unsuitable on the river. Am unsure if this is still a rumour or now fact. Maybe Ian Young knows for sure now?

The Swan River Trust knocked back Herrison Island so now the venue is South Perth (where the catamaran's are in summer) in NE-ESE and Cott in NNW-SSW.
Ryland Blakeney and Tim Thirsk are organizing the kickers and sliders. As I understand it the logistics of moving them from the river to Cott and keeping them stable enough in the water at Cott will prohibit their use @ Cott.
Unfortunately this now means that there is a very real possibility that some heats will be held on the river with kickers and sliders while others will be at Cott without.

hey ian bill crang was over here the other day and went and checked out cott main. he to agrees that you can definately set a kicker up behind the groyne for the inward tack on a sw. when we get a chance will take it down there as discussed but it is very possible to have a kicker there.

Great - test it ASAP then - please give me a yell when you do.
But remember we still have to move it from the river and time will be much tighter than last year with three times as many riders!
Riders will be even more pissed off if we lose time re-positioning equipment then fail to get a result :-( Especially considering that the wave @ Cott is a natural kicker on the outbound tack anyway.

youngy we got 4 kickers so we can probally just leave the big one at cott and 3 medium sized ones on the river. and if a slider is made put that in the river too. will check it out on the next seabreeze. how much notice does tim need to notify council is a few hours cool.
