sliders easy. if u buy the wood it can be expensive depends wat kind of deal u get, other wise u can look around ur house u might find peice or at building sites there is always plenty of wood there to use. and then u need something that will slide. some form of plastic works best. but metal handrail and sum marine ply is also real good wen building new suburbs they always have heaps of pipe around and sumtimes wood for fences. build feet using bits of wood, the higher it is the longer the feet need to be. if it is only gonna be about waste high, meter long feet will be heaps. decide how high u can have it and wat u wanna make, i.e. a frame, step-up, s c , wateva. then screw legs onto the feet and brace them, make triangles. always works! then screw wood between the pre made legs which will join the slider or sections of it to screw pipe onto. if it is goin to be reasonable big and you dont have 30 peopl to move it, its best to build it in sections. like. up ramp one section, flat another, down another, etc. thats about it, if using metal pipe or the pipe u have selected is griping wen sessioning it get sum candles and wax em up. always make the angle on the up mellow, like real mellow. its always steeper once u put it in the water. once u built one jus keep building more, they will only get better.

G'day Rosc0, honestly mate just get out there and have a crack at it. Sliders really aren't the most complicated things to build. There are a few things to take into account tho.

Here's a few pics of one we built for wakeboarding a couple of summers ago. I'm only just learning to kite really so wont be going anywhere near sliders with a kite attached for a while but it gives you a bit of an idea.

Our main thing was that it had to be floating and portable because here in perth they're pretty strict on anything set up in the water as being a "boating hazard".

But yeh it worked really well, only took a couple of weeks of mucking around after work to get it together and with a few of the boys "borrowing" the materials from work didn't cost a fortune either. I've got heaps more sort of in-progress shots of the build if you want pm me and I'll email them through.

Cheers
