guys
going to broadbeach for 4 days , want to take the kite etc to escape from the family , staying at "AIR" on broadbeach , can i kite there or within walking distance from there?, i guess NE / SE will work?? , please help, i will not have a car so will kite anywhere thats safe near the apartment , i like surf not flat water cheers

Plenty of room to kite their MC just keep well away from the flagged areas 50m either side and 200m out to sea and start down wind of a flagged area when u setup.... look for the best strip of beach i.e. longest section without any flags and off u go. N - NE and S - SE all good their!

That part of the Gold Coast pretty clear, I did a downwinder from the Spit to Nobbies today (Sunday) and took a mandatory break (wind dropped) around Q1 and to my surprise wasn't that many kids on the beach at all! I think most of them are in their hotel completed blitzed after a hard nite!! Red frogs are working hard this year already me thinks.... nice northerly today until it puttered out!
