I have just bought a new 12meter C4 kite, lines bar pump etc the package, its a 2012.

So i also want to buy a older 2011 C4 9meter but just the kite alone.

My question is am i able to use the lines and bar from a 2012 12meter C4 kite on a older 2011 9meter C4 kite??

1 more Question if you don't mind, the 2011 C4 9m kite im looking at if i go and see the kite in person how can i see if the kite is 2011 and not 2010/2009? is there a manufacture tag on the leading edge or something?


thats all i need to know if any1 has any knowledge about it id be much appreciated. ;)

The canopy designs were different but the serial number will tell you also my 9 serial is C412-9-M-42E-... The 12 indicates 2012 a 2011 should be C411 and its located near the inflate valve.

All C4's should run the same bar also I had a 2010 12m and 2012 9m and used the same bar.

Pretty sure the 9 and 12 (2012 and 2011) were meant to be ridden on a 50cm bar. Smaller than a 9m and ozone recommended the 45cm bar

There was very little difference between the 2 year models, 2012 came in a blue and black bag, 2011 came in a black bag with red/green design, very different to look at as the 2011 definitely had no blue on the bag. Canopy design was different, 2011 still had the curved style, 2012 went to straight line version of that design.
Google them to be sure for yourself.
