Just a bit of guidance if possible.
Have tried to solo land my 10m cab switch using techniques explained to me but the kite never wants to stay down and keeps trying to relaunch.
Been given lots of different ways but in reality same ending happens each time, ie it tries to relaunch.
I know i can release but dont really want to do that each time and everyone else seems to have it mastered.
If anyone can direct me to a website or has any tips it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks heaps

Click on the link below and view the video posted by par. Good method and works with more than just Switchys.

Yeah see the vid - used it again in 25 knots this weekend on my 10m Sb2 and it worked perfectly.

I've got a xbow1 & 3 and had mixed success with self landing. Until I depowered the kite with the depower strap first.

I'd perform the usual park it one side on the beach then pull on the uppermost front line, occasionally it would start to power up like some snake charming performance. Not had this happen since ensuring on maximum depower first.

Find someone on the beach who has got it down and ask them if they can show you, then perfect it in light winds.

its even easier to get someone else to catch it for you. I guess know everyone can start on me about how you should be able to land your own kite by yourself blar blar blar blar blar well the way i see it there is not one kite in the galaxy that can land better then someone else catching it and untill there is i'm going to keep gettin other people to do it for me. Same goes for launching! ha ha

Had a session on my own yesterday at my local spot at 5pm - only a few people on the beach 20knots and no kiters. Had an absolute blast - surf was good too. If I didn't have the skills to self launch or land then I would have missed this whole session.

I really believe that if you cannot self launch and self land your kite in any conditions then this is not the sport for you

if its WIIIIIINDY or your overpowered, safety on front line, ensure enough space down wind, pull quick release! don't **** about with trying to land the sucker just get it out the sky, the bows are great at just landing LE down and into the wind.

Cheers guys,
watched that vid thread over and over then went down in 14 knts with a mate for backup and practiced over and over and have now got it nailed. We practised on his naish also and did a few " what ifs" as in what if it lifts off or rolls then takes off etc.
All these replys were really helpful cept the one using other people to help.
I know we need to be fully self reliant in this sport to advance, have fun and be safe.

Thanks again!
