after two seasons of almost daily use the rubbery grippy stuff on my bar is starting to deteriorate. It's splitting on the join, puckering up in other areas and breaking apart... can this be replaced? any el-cheapo or ingenious repair options ?
Any wise thoughts appreciated

i got the same problem and the cheapest solution i can come up with is the spongy grip tape for tennis/squash racquets - i'm assuming it'll come off pretty quickly, but if you wind it on tight enough, and maybe bind on the loose end somehow?

good quality super glue is the bomb for small peel backs before they get too big and if it's too far gone (like yours sounds to be) stick on some elastoplast fabric strip which comes on the same kind of roll plumbers tape comes in.

Hope that helps, James

the only grip is hockey grip! ice hockey grip that is, if you have a roller hockey rink near you they will have it.

tennis grip will eventually come off but may last a month or so depending on use. Once used it on a ski rope handle lasted about three weeks ( supa glued on ) although the handle did drag through the water at speed regularly so you could expect the grip applied to a kite bar to last longer.
