Webby7,
If you are in WA, you need to harden up a bit. The river Jellies don't sting, even the blue bottles in the ocean are at best a mild annoyance. I copped a blue bttle across the face two days ago which left a mark cross my left cheek. I didn't even notice until it was pointed out by someone else.
If you are talking about east coast Jellies and blue bottles, I totally agree, now they friggen hurt.
In the early days of 2 line kiting, I dropped my kite in a patch of thousands of blue bottles and the kite flipped inside it's bridle. It relaunched and flew awkwardly back to the beach and I got stung hundreds of times all over my body. Made me feel nauseous and extremely painful. I had blue bottles all the way down my lines and all over the bar. My worst moment kiting I think.

Also swam my sailboard in one time when wind dropped and stroked a powder blue river jelly tentacles with my letf wrist, which actually drew blood! It looked like I had been attacked with a dinner fork.

Never had so much pain in my life.

WA Jellies are a sad joke in comparison. Thankfully, I love WA Jellies!
Everything is better in WA!

Good winds,
