Shooglenifty, Scotland’s Ambassadors of Celtic Roots Rave Celtic Voodoo , arrive at the Fly TONIGHT.
There have been many attempts over the last decade to describe the music of “SHOOGLENIFTY”. The music made by this six piece band from Edinburgh has variously been described as “Hypnofolkadelia”, ”Acid Croft” and, more recently, “ambientrad” or “headfolk”. Clearly, categorising the band has offered many journalists a challenge, underlined by the band’s own suggestion : ”Describing music is like trying to dance to architecture!”
