Sexy Exy, best months are Sept-Nov...but there is ALWAYS wind.

You may need small (really small) kites.

Aaaah nice to find a thread I can reply to. Sandy Bay has been rockin' along with the usual Euro's and locals getting amongst it. Theres been nooo swell so the usual spots are all just flat water, but the wildlife in the water with turtle hatching is frikken amazing. Big noahs and all sorts cruising around.
A very big hats off today to the bloke (I'm assuming!!) who rigged up at Tantabiddi, kited 2 k's out to the bombie and kited it for an hour. No boat, no one else just him.
I was pulling a 100 kilo green turtle out of the rocks and sending it on its way and was watching the whole time. Who ever you are, you must have kajanga's down to your knees.
The locals have been going south to camp and kite at a joy flat water spot, all you need is a 4wd and directions.
Good luck and maybe see you when you get here.
PS. Bring small kites, the wind has been howling.
