I believe so.......

I used to ride my Dirt Bike in the bush on the peninsula with two other mates for 8 years we rode without a single complaint or problem..one week a couple of other blokes on bikes turned up a few months later a few more then 6 months after that no dirt bike signs were erected by the council and the rangers started issuing fines....... game over

I agree. I was at Kent reserve a few weeks ago. Kiters parked in a no parking zone, dumping kites amongst sunbathers, one guy nearly took some kids out with a surfboard. Helped a guy the other day trying to launch a 14m c kite with 12m lines (used extensions as lines?????), had a wrist safety that didn't work and was putting up in 18 to 20 knots. If councils don't ban us then we will be forced to join organisations who will inevitebly try to placate councils under the threat of complete bans (ie; do this or have nothing.) A few whingers will report some of the members for breaking the rules or kiting near birds or some other crap then the organisation will be labelled as a problem and this will lead to further restrictions. Wait for the marine park if you think things are bad now. The interesting thing is that kite bans and restrictions all seem to be in areas where Daddy and Mummy millionaire don't want their beaches to be used by people they don't like.

Good thinking.
"Is that hard?" "Yes, takes years to learn" "Very expensive and very dangerous."
Or better still, don`t talk to strangers on the beach.
Our elite, strange mystical weired sport is no more. Any Dick Tom and bank manager can do it now.

it was not to long ago that even second hand equipment was expensive and the safety gear was crap... unfortunately as a result of these changing you will get more people. it only takes 1 retard to do something silly and ruin it for everyone
