hey i have been out on my 10m liqud force havoc and i keep noticing in low winds it floats overhead then flutters and drops into the power zone

I was wondering if anyone knows how to stop this happening as it gives a nasty pull in the power zone?

thanks

i haven't used your particular model of kite, but the first step is the low wind.
Don't let it get any rest over head overhead, keep it moving even if only slightly.
For set up, it should help to fly the kite off the back lines a little more, in low winds this will keep it back in the window but with some wind in it.

agree with the last post.Do you have the same problem in stonger winds????

Will happen also if winds are light and gusty, like we get this time of year.

What colinwill78 said, keep the bitch on the move in lightsh winds.

lol yeah that will fix it, whilst your there pick up a helmet, life vest, board leash and a few hook knifes. They make up the full cabrinah owner kit.

I've got a Switchblade with a flutter problem, doesn't bother me though.

I have a 5m Best with the same problem, I think u need to adjust the outside lines (longer) and position it is attached to the kite (towards leading edge). I've yet to try it but thats what i've been told will fix it... (be keen for u to be my guineapig)
I'm still enjoying stalling it to get the extra kick to stand or jump on, instead of swooping the kite for it. Let me kno how it goes... one day i'll get around to changing my set up.

try sheeting out a bit when this happens, in lighter winds many people will experience lower power, holding in your bar for more power will generally stall out the kite.

try sheeting out on the up stroke of the kite and sheeting in on the down stroke.

Havocs are stable but any kite will drop if the wind is light enough. If the kite looks like dropping out of the sky let the bar go, grab the front lines and give them a yank... most of the time you can save it... Don't pull the bar towards you.. always sheet out if it looks like stalling..
