Bali and more specifically Sanur, doesn't get a lot of wind generally. If I were you I'd take a 14m and a 10m for just in case you get a windy day.

I've heard of guys getting a week straight of being on a 12m, but this is more the exception than the rule. Forget the 6m!

Average Bali wind is very warm and tropical so subtract a couple of knots off due to the air density factor. An 18 knot day would be considered a good windy day in Bali.

I have run IKO Instructor Training Courses in Sanur on several occassions. Every time we had a 5 day glass off. I'd just take a surfboard and forget kiting personally.

u make sure you tell everyone how good u are and that u unhook all the time.. surely someone of ur skill level is able to work out what kites they need based on the given wind strength

willis, all i was asking was what is the wind strength and what kite size should i take, sorry if for some reason you take this personally and have gotten worked up about it but i was just asking a simple question

no worries that is why we are here in the forum.
You are light but live the 6m at home... I don't think nobody even has on in the all island.
Wind is mostly on the 11 to 14 knots range.
Maybe you can just bring your 10m if you use a surfboard!

well actually... i am, an i'm as excited as hell! have been surfin there for 20 somethin years, but this will be my first kite trip. have organised kite caddy "jack" as per bali thread, and we're all set. Ewan, look for the 16M lime green airush flow, and say hi. Jankie, your prices look pretty good with the US/A $ situation... got a 6'1 converse???
