I double that, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not practice ridge soaring with your kite, it is extremely dangerous as you do not have a protective harness like paragliders and our kites are too unstable in any turbulent air or thermal activity which might come from the ocean.

This is the safe way of enjoying ridge soaring and you have two options;
Paragliders
Hang Gliders;

Paragliding sucks ! - Kitegliding is soooooo much better - like a suspended swing !

Ha, is there a kite school that teaches this one ??

Although, maybe a good way to reduce some of the ever growing kitesurfing population
