Im trying desperately hard NOT to look too closely at all the new gear but there was a fair smattering of new stuff amongst the crowd.
The new Airush & Slingshot boards were well represented with at least 1/2 doz. of the 05/6 designs on the water along with at least one new U/G FLX.
It was a tad early for the new season kites I guess but I think there was one new Naish (may be wrong there?), at least one of the new style RRDs, an impressive display of the new Flysurfer Speed as the 1st kite out & covering the course both ways
(who needs a bus
), a fully shark-proofed PL Venom and of course a couple of XBows. Didnt see a hellfish anywhere But.
There may have been even more - sorry if Ive missed anyone.
Gear innovation talk of the day definately centred round the dangly vibrating shark 'attracter' which, BTW, proved all the knockers completely wrong. It was 100% effective - gls didnt get bitten in half
even once over the entire length of the trip
