Would be much much much more impressive if the kiter actually rode the waves, and ditch that towing ****e...

Looked like the perfect combination of wind and wave to get in there with the kite and ride, wonder why they didn't... or was it just not shown on that clip...

I don't think the kitesurfer was that great. Many of the worlds best surfers won't ride it, so I doubt a not so good kitesurfer would try to be the first to kite it even on a small day. 20m of lines + kite + the heaviest wave in the world breaking onto exposed reef doesn't bode well.

What an anti climax that is.

Have the frogs not heard about jet skiis yet???

Small, wind blown Chopes, and some sort of tweaked, faddish idea about towing a surfer with a kite. I bet it takes them a while to get set and going for each new wave.

Looking forward to seeing the wipe out version, it's gotta be more entertaining than that.

Leave it to the surfers I say, they are really impressive out there.

I agree with Fatty. The footage is rather impressive.
What is this "typical french coolness"??? first time I hear this.
The dude is actually saying that the timing was the hard thing to get, and will be working on a system that prevent the kiters to get a huge boost when the surfer let go of the rope..

But I am French too, so I might be a little biased on this one

Cheers.

I think the footage is fantastic. It shows how resourcefull kitesurfing can be.
Ben, I don't know what are you talking about, jetsky is so boring, why not to try something new?
Jetsky, just bad smell of burnt oil and lot of noise...blah, who needs them.

Whats not impressive about that clip?! Takes serious balls both to tow someone, AND be towed into that place. A few of you harsh heads need to reign yourselves in!
