ok, throwing this out there as it has raised my curiosity, looking for a travel bag for my board and gear i was given a few choices. one of which was the naish golf travel bag. simply a kiteboarding travel bag for your gear but with the words GOLF on the front in a sort of golf style. the guy explained to me that it was suggested that when going on a plane a golf bag does not attract an extra fee compared to say a normal board in its travel bag e.g a surf board. i was interested to know if anyone has come across this or may know any more about it?

Check out the the link below!!! i did a search on kiteforum.com for "golf bag" and came up with this! i just bought a golf bag on ebay and it was a lot cheaper then buying one of those standout naish or best golf bags most people know that naish and best have nothing to do with golf! i suggest buying a actual golf bag and putting your stuff in that!

Beware.... I have just flown Royal Brunei Airlines and I can confirm regardless of what you tell them, any weight over their allowed baggage allowance will attract an excess baggage fee - in this case, $20/kg. This is RBA policy period.

For me, that was 460AUD for my 23kg kite/golf bag (what ever you want to call it). Good thing is company pays for it being an expat
