Anyone got a solution to very sore feet after kiteing sessions on the water,my feet are wasted from years of abuse i.e,motocross, building sites, footy, and a bad fall of a ladder yrs ago, maybe try some support of some sort ,I dunno, any sugestions out there,my feet are killing me!...p.s I ride a T.T

Yep,
I get really munted up feet after a decent session. A few knocks from the board combined with some heavy landings seems to be enough to leave them pretty bruised. Not much you can do about it though.

I had that problem.

What you need is a board with HEAPS of flex, nothing over 135.

Then get the thickest footpads you can get.

Eg: Underground FLX with the Underground pads.

Avoid hard landings.

user is right, you need a flexi board and soft pads. I have liquid force profile straps and they are gold and contour to my feet great. Where abouts in exactly on your foot does it hurt? I broke my heelbone when I first started kiting six years ago. Had an old 2line wipika. I got lofted and smashed it on the hard sand. My solution was selling my kite only to buy another one 5 years later however blownaway smashed his heel a couple of months ago. There are bolts holding him together now and he is still riding so he would have to know something.

well well well
this i can help you with!

invest in a good quality sunbeam foot spa
get the water temperature to a soothing 35 degrees
add a few drops of your favourite essential oil, i highly recommend using lavender oil
soak for ten minutes
lightly pat dry with a fluffy towel
genly rub in peppermint foot cream
spend the rest of your evening with your feet up and a glass of chardonay
...enjoy

My board is a 122flx with the UG pads. Maybe I just need to harden up.

hey stamp. yeah mate, dont come out of em so no need to worry about not being able to swim because they float. No need to master that body drag back to the board anymore, and never have to worry about one foot slipping out on landings. they sell themselves! hows the wind up there? cold and crap here now!

Does it help if you wear them thingos from the chemist that fill in the arch of your foot? I know that wearing flexible plastic or rubbery versions of these inside a booty has worked wonders for people that have a flat arch. Good luck solving it.

Hey Roo, my advice .....seriously is give up the building trade as a full time job an rest the feet until the wind blows an then go hard kiting, it all comes down to priorities, yeah I know we gotta make a buck, but I had no choice but to give up the building trade an kiting is a good exercise for the feet as it is not load bearing when you get some air Mate you gotta stop carrying around heavy stuff an definatly dont try backrolls with a kite loop in shallow water.

Them LF footpads might be the go....mmm I might get some too.
cya out there soon

Just ride surfboard with no straps. Even an old man like me can ride for hours with no ankle or knee problems at all. It makes me feel young again.... (touch wood)
