I was looking at a thread about some kiters at hillary's, so without turning it into us & them thread, its worth reading what impact we have on our cousin poleys, especialy when wave riding, some valid points about hogging the waves,,
also, their additional comments on crowd control are all in good humour!!

Blimey - I didn't realise there was so much hate for kiters from windsurfers... I suppose jelousy does that!

lol no hate buddy. I've been sailing that spot on & off for 16 years and am naturally concerned that it could be potentially ruined if a significant number of Kiters decide to kite there. It cannot hold more than 4 good kiters. Not sure what the solution is. It would be great if the Kiters could kite on the upwind reef break where poleys can't go and leave the main break to the poleys. yeah we get the better wave, but thats the only solution really. I've never seen one bit of aggro there and I'd hate to see it start. I'd really like to see a situation where Kiters and Poleys could work together and come up with a solution.
