Hey all,
Leaving Perth soon and intending to do a bit of a kitesurfari before I leave the country. I have a spare seat if anyone's interested and has some spare time later this month.
I'll be heading off sometime around or after next weekend. I hope to drive down around the coast kiting whenever I can. I'd like to hit Bunbury, Margaret River, Albany, Esperance and Ceduna in SA to name a few, and I'll probably stop every other time I see a good spot too. I reckon I might cut across from Adelaide to Sydney and work my way from there to the Sunshine Coast. It's a one way trip, I'll be heading OS from there so you'd have to fly back from wherever you decided to end your leg of the journey.
I intend to live on roadhouse food/baked beans/etc and sleep in my swag in the open. It won't be the most comfortable journey but there should be a few good kite sessions and the occasional cold beer or six at sunset. I've got enough camping gear to make it bearable. It'd be good to have someone to share the driving with. And the kiting and beer too I suppose.
I'll be happy to pay all the fuel, though if you would pitch in I'd appreciate it. There won't be too much room in the back of the ute with all my worldly posessions in it, but you'd probably be right with 2 kites and a boardbag, as well as swag and bag.
If anyone's interested post here, ring/msg me on 0407 811 574, or email patbanks79 (at) hotmail.com as the email seabreeze links to will be shut down this week.
Cheers

Come on slabs and slabettes! 80 views of this topic and noone is interested? At least someone tell me 'That sounds like fun, I wish I could come but I can't get away'. I'm feeling all rejected and lonely here...

hey
would be really keen to come for part of it, but the timing is wrong. In another couple of weeks I could have done it.
(Of course, the timing is probably wrong in another way too. Only got married a month ago. "Seeya luv, i'm off on a surfari..." )
I am off from 21-31 jan, so 10 days of road trip would have been great
cheers
