Welcome. Here's a few
Bulcock Beach Caloundra ( SE - E best on outgoing tide). Cottontree Maroocydore river mouth ( NE - SE best on outgoing tide). Noosa bar ( NE - E on outgoing tide). Tides normally change about 2 hours after listed high or low tides published. Golden Beach Caloundra on Pumicesone passage near white navigation marker. Currimundi, downwinders from there to Kawana or vice versa depending on if SE or NE, same for Coolum to Sunrise beach.
Ask at any of our helpful kite shops - look in yellow pages. Ask any of the locals at the above beaches and nearly all will be happy to point out pro's and cons at each and assist to launch and land. BUT please stay well clear of flagged swimming areas and the public.
What kite do you fly?
Feel free to email if I can assist with further info.
Also search this forum, SEQKA for more links.

Hi Nemo,
jt pretty much sumed it up, The Caloundra river mouth is fantastic in a southeast to east wind with a out going tide and Golden beach is good for flat water if the tides comming in.

You can kite at Golden beach in a northerly if the tides running out.

If you ever need some advise on the day as to where the best spot is to go please give me a call at the shop and I will give you the run down on the day.

Enjoy living on the Coast mate, see ya around.

Cheers

Luke

hey fellas - heres a map i did some time ago to give a visual guide to kitesurfing caloundra passage and golden beach. hope it helps. the zones are really just a guide of what everyone is doing when for it gets busy. Obviously make sure youve got wind opposing tide.

enjoy.
