If you like mud go to Sandgate or Wellington point. Sandgate is choppy, wello is flat but smells a bit and has sharp shells and doesn't really work that well in southerly winds.
If you like clean flat water go to Caloundra (sunny coast).
If you like clean water and waves go to Gold Coast or many other places in Gold or sunny coast.

Brisbane and further south to Gold Coast
http://www.seqka.com.au/page/kiting-locations

North of here (Sunshine Coast) 90 mins drive - look at each river mouth on google earth/maps - Caloundra , Maroochydore, Noosa figure out the wind direction they take. When the tide is flowing out you can get a 4 knot boost to the wind strength. uSE SEABREEZE graphs showing the tide.

Most of the sunny coast from Dicky beach (North of Caloundra) through to at least Sunshine beach (South of Noosa) is used for down winders.
There R a couple of lakes inland from Sunshine beach - Lake Weyba -is ok in SSE
The Caloundra end of Pumicestone passage - Golden Beach - is flat - but low tide exposes a lot of sandbank.

It will be windy and from the South swinging to SE even ESE during the day.

Enjoy

Pointless without more info from OP, transport, what they're after, skill level, etc.
Every spot listed so far has pros and cons.
