Hi just wondering...
is there any kitesurfing slalom events organised in Australia? Downwind/Upwind racing?

yeah i heard there was an upwind slalom event organised for next month over in the west, theres gonna be a huge crew turn up apparently, just to name a few oldschool, spacemonkey, carbine, kiterdan, n j pornstar and happy these guys are really starting to push the envolope, its strickly a strap only competition and if you wear boots your automatically eliminated just incase you do something that has style.

i heard there was an event planned at tannum, but none of the riders were powered enough to get upwind. It turned into a downwind 14 knot kooked out grabbed railey fest.

i didn't see any raileys at tannum except from dingle dangle daniel, wish i had been around when that downwinder was on i was probably to far upwind in my boots to notice.

i was thinking we could drop markers out in the bay...mark out a scalene shape triangle. Have 2 upwind sectors and then the last sector of the race a complete downwinder. Have the race done in heats and record the best times because if it was all one big heat...it would turn out in kite carnage and tangles.
