On the river. Pt Walter is always a fizzer, you can walk up and down the spit all day and hope you dont your feet sliced open. Or you can ride the glassy side and get stuck out it the middle of nowhere.

go round the back of the golf course and try attadale wind is a little cleaner and less sharpies in the water

what sharpies are there? i might hav 2 get my arse down ther nxt week i got a couple dayz off

bout time i get a excuse 2 force my family 2 drop me off at flipping decent kite spots.. yes thats right kids my mummy n daddy take me everywhere, not coz im a looser but because i know how to play the field

Dont fret - you will have plenty of company if its working.
Ask about the razor rocks once you get there. They do bite

but you can avoid the worst of them if you know where not to go.

the ONLY problem with this spot is that if you drive there & there's no wind, it's a sodding long way to go for nothing - it's a definite 98.5kms from my door.
Trust me, i'm sick & f'ing tired of that particular drive only to get there to find the wind ain't so hot or the tide is 'ken miles out.

Mind you, when it's on, it's on...

i've been playing around at the quinns beach. Its only a 2 min drive instead of 35 min drive. Get some great waves up this way. 2morrow is lookin good for a kite down the pond. Got a couple of mates from quinns that are keen to come down as well. Should be a pretty sick day

no cobblers, but there are quite a few ignorant folk hogging a small piece of flat water. Should make a rule: Enter the pond from the top(i.e. close to the point and above the first yacht), go in do your trick(high back roll if you must) then out around the bottom and below the yacht. An upwind tack and around a bouy 100m out then back in again.

and in a SW when the windsurfers are using the edge of the pond to change direction or have a rest? its not going to be so "easy going" when one of the kites gets wrapped around them.

Use the pond how you like, but no anti-posting when it gets taken away due to ignorance.
