Inverloch , sandy point and the island.
during winter there will be some big winds... You can kite in the inlet on flat water or in the waves. Summer is good when the easterliers come through.

I used to live in East Gippsland, ie Paynesville. Some really good spots to kite on the Gippsland lakes, heaps of options in almost all wind directions.

Bout 6 or 7 regular kiters locally around Paynesville/Eagle point.

yeah east gippsland its accually the latrobe valley, both paynesville and inverloch are in range. just wondering if any kites the fresh water dams such as hazelwood or glenmaggie

hazelwood is a good winter spot, wind can get pretty flukey but the warm water is awesome.
not many spots to launch/land at glenmaggie, its surrounded by trees

Do many kite at hazelwood? Does it get busy with other watercraft?

Which forecasts which you check for the wind around there?

hazelwood sucks dogs balls.is nice and warm though. everywhere else sux. stay away specialy you stamp. foreigner go back to wa.
