kiting in costume!
a concept jested about for far too long, lets quit procastinating and have something to really laugh about!

date: the sunday of last weekend that it is daylight savings. for those states that dont have it, u can join in too!

where: where ever your local spot-that-works in the conditions of that day is.

why:
a- what a laugh of a way to celebrate the end of 'summer'
b- we keep raving about the 'community spirit' of kiters, this has potential to be really big
c- why not

one question -where can we post the photos?

I reckon the Melville crew will be in on this one.
Sounds like heaps of fun to me (& those who enjoy most are winners you know )
We could do our 1st official beach BBQ (c/w a thermos of coffee for Jo)
And nothing to lose - the locals already think we are all crazy
What do you reckon guys
(You have just gotta be in it even if only to see what one certain little lady might do with it - nonames mentioned )

PS When does DLS end - for those with big enough brains to do it
VOTE 1 - the Daylight Saving Party

Look Out - the brain is doing kite loops here
We could also use the day to run the inaugural MELVILLE MAMBO
Prizes in all age groups for :
Biggest Air - sky high award
"the Rowan Challenge" Biggest Air followed by maximum kiteloops before stopping
Hang Time - without any tree assistance involved
Dash for Cash - to the dreaded orange bouy & back
AND some new innovative kit-e-vents to make sure all levels are well catered for - in the true the spirit of the place - eg
The Race of Shame - fancy dressed, fully kitted, kite inflated beach sprint from the wall back to the first tree (no I wont be entering this one - enoughs enough for this little bunny)
Safety First Challenge - short run - QR - regulation pack down - return to shore.
And get the family involved :-
Double or Nothing Race - piggy back or tow your partner/kid

are you speaking from experience???

nonikkers is my surname... pronounced non-ikkers...
which means i actually do wear knickers

do you know i have been teased my whole entire life about my surname???

i thought some of you kiters would see past that and give me a chance

i fall asleep CRYING everynight because of all the teasing!

1 Feb 2005 1:55pm
at least Nonickers is short

kn try my surname - Keithbavarianswearingbear. It has kn actually been shortened from KeithTHEbavarianswearingbear.

And by the way Laurie, I noticed the editing: since when is another kn word for cat a swear word?

I know that p__ssy is not a swear word. I am after all a kn swearing bear!!!

There There pet - Puppet to the rescue - despite the ferocious nature of these bavarian monsters Fearless Phil is more than even they can bear.

O-kn-K you oversize kn fur-ball. Quit it with the insensitive back chat or else
(jeez Im even scarin myself here)
You cause just more wet spot on Ms Non-ikkers pillow and LOOKOUT. Ill hunt you down like a kite-biting hound and lay out your pelt in front of my fireplace. Infinite karma from then on for you & your wet spot causing antics. [}:)] [}:)]

You can sleep easy now. Thatll send him scuttling back to his cave. Specially when he finds out what an awesomely menacing puppet he is dealing with here ( gulp )

Advert: Wanted - ride to lano next W/end. Preferably in a nice clean car but desperate now so thats negotiable.
Please contact - "poor relative" asap

F-Off What mess
Besides cleaning out your car gives you absolutely not 1 minute more TOW nor does it improve your kiting skills or enjoyment even the tiniest of a smidge - SO - its just not a priority.
Come to think of it used to be obsessively squeaky clean 24/7 till about a year ago
But hey a lot of stuff has changed in that year.
ITS ALL GOOD

indeed but cleaning out some of the mess allows you to sit comfortably on a seat and have leg room. It also means that you can push the accelerator down to the floor without having a can behind it to stop you....thusly allowing you to get to the beach quicker.
Clean your car dirty old man...

Thinking possibly - Rasputin might be cool
