The Maldives has moderate winds for most of the year. Be careful not to go in heavy monsoon season, but this will depend on weather you go to the Northen or Southern Atols.

I've been to Kuredu island in the North Atols in November and there was wind for kiting then, only I didn't know how to kitesurf at that time.

Booking our honeymoon there for March, the wind is good then so this time of year probably will be too.

Enjoy.
