I have a knot in my steering line,

have tried for hours to get it to undo, but can not,its too tight

Apart from buying new lines, has anyone got any suggestion on how to get it undone

Does it make a weak spot in the line

Try using a pair of plyers with a flat section to squeeze and soften the knot from different angles, watering it helps as well. Then try picking it slowly from different sections with a pick. After stabbing yourself a few times it usually ends up working

A knot left if your line creates a weak spot an can potentially break although not as bad on the steering line I suppose ( a lot less tension than the front lines).

Na don't pick at it just CHEW it, it sounds weird but it works. If that fails tap it with a hammer a bit.

Use a hammer on a hard flat surface tap the knot turn it on its
Side tap again repeat this process for a while the knot becomes really soft and then you can get it with you nails .

Try soaking the knot for a while first before hitting it .it expands and is not as harsh on the line.
