have saved up and am pissing off till the money runs out, I know the wind kicks in earlier in the season up north, could anyon give a rough guess as to when coral bay area might start getting 15-20 kts consistantly?
The plan is to start there and meander down as the wind fills in further and further south.

Completely off the subject, a collie mine is being turned into a dam, anyone know when it is open to the public or what the kiting possibilities might be?

Cheers, James

Theres already several Collie mines that are full of water and utilised for water sports, Black Diamond being one that springs to mind, BUT they are surrounded by jarrah forest and hills.
Can't see them being anygood for kiting.

Last time I was in Collie we were on 1 of those dams ur talkin about - surrounded by hills & jarrah - about to pull our illegal marron pot when the pot bouy - just 20ft from our boat - got zapped by an an enormous (an very noisy) bolt of lightning.
Collective spontaneous shatting was followed by hectic paddle-in to shore.
Didnt believe till then the truth of that old saga 'every creature's sacred' Damn sure believe it now. Fisheries have some serious supporters out there [}:)] [}:)] [}:)]
Havent been back since.
