Hi All

First post here! - Can someone recommend a school or even an area in Bali where I should stay for good kiting conditions? (I haven't been to Bali before). I will be going with the family and I hope to sneak off and get in some lessons!

Thanks

Adrian

Jankie doesn't have a Kite School since year 2008...

At the moment there are 3 Kitesurfing School in Bali and they are all located in Sanur:

- Bali Kitesurfing School, owned and managed by Balinese, located at Kite Beach.
They use 2011 Cabrinha kites and Underground boards for teaching. They have 3 boats that they use to do all water lessons.

- Matahari Kitesurfing School, also owned and managed by Balinese, located at Mercure Hotel. They also use 2011 and 2010 Cabrinha Kites for teaching. They have 1 boat for teaching in the water.

- Rip Curl Surf of School, located at the Sanur Beach Hotel, they is an IKO center.

I support the locals that give a good service! Good price and always smiling..
Fish Barbecue at kite Beach after kiting are a big plus!!!

More Info:
Wind season in Bali goes from May to September with the best months being June-July-August with over 50 % of days that are kiteable.

All wind - tides & spot info are in our web site: www.bali-kitesurfing.org
In our home page you can see what the wind is doing as we have a Real Time Wind Report!

Also check our Facebook group "Kitesurf Bali" where I write a daily Wind report and all the latest news.

EXTRA INFORMATION'S ON SANUR
Sanur is pretty laid back and we love it!

Is one of the few places in Bali where you can still do what you like without been in the mess of traffic or getting harassed at every step.

Plenty of restaurants and shops for your leisure and also few bars with live music where to hang around at night.

The real night life is in Kuta/Seminyak so is really depend what are your priorities.
In the evening there is not much traffic to move around so to get to Kuta it takes only 20 minutes.

Looking forward to meet you in the beach.
Bye Jankie
