take the fins out of fish, it will go in light winds but a bit more skill is needed.

Hey Surf sky
I had a 6,2'' x 20 1/2 x2 1/2 custom made by a local shaper , flat rocker , big swallow tail , single too double concave out to a slight vee behind back fins .
I had it made so i can run it as a quad or thruster. 12 or 14 mtr kite and it goes when the water looks glassy

I use a mid-flat rocker fish in all winds and from about 1 foot to 5 foot surf and it works well for me. I have taken it out in bigger and it held well.
My current board is 2” longer than me, but have one on order the same length as I am, as I reckon with a fish, as it has extra width, you can go a bit shorter than you would normally ride.
If you get a small wave board, which a fish is, it planes easily, so it will also be good in light winds.
Check out the Seajuice (or Stuart Surfboards – Gold Coast) site and go to board design - that runs you through different rockers rail and tail shapes.
