I am a warnbro/saftey bay local looking to get started in kite surfing... can anyone give me unbiased info on getting started...

who is the best for lessons, what sort of kit is best to start with also bearing in mind that i don't want to buy it have it last a few months and suddenly need to upgrade straight away, is new better than second hand, where can i find competitive deals, and is there local people that are able to be contacted to gain local info on kite surfing in this area...

those are just a few questions, any help or advise from anyone would be great...

Hey Kirsty,

Yeah Give Jase a call or Simon from Go Windsurfing. With regards to gear, go for some second hand, one season old mid to low aspect ratio kite like a Airush Flow or Pilot they will serve you perfectly for the first year. As for boards, that depends upon your weigh and previous sporting background as well as style you plan to ride. A good basic board is a Square two or for something a bit more rad but easy to ride the Exile.

There is lots of gear available have a look on the website. I will be selling my school kites in the next couple of months and they have seen very little use as they were only used for a couple of months. All in excellent condition and would suit your purposes perfectly. PM me if you are interested.
