I was wondering if any one has any experience or advice on repairing the inserts in a twin tip. After refitting my foot straps I discovered that one of my inserts is spinning. Any help would be greatly appreciated !!
cheers

Not sure if this is the best way but its how i would do it.

does it pull out? If so pull it outand screw in the bolt fully. roughen up teh surface of the insert, then glue it back in with 24h epoxy or to a lesser extent 5min.

how old is your board? it might still be covered by warranty.

The board is more than a year old, so i don't think that it would be covered under warranty.
The insert it self is not pulling out, just spinning around?

if u were to screw the bolt in and yank it out would the threaded insert come out cleanly with no damage?. Without it coming out i dont see anyway of getting enough surface area to secure it properly.
try in a board making forum, or possibly call up a manufacturer.

Use a small amount of epoxy resin. Very strong stuff. Fill the thread with candle wax and dig it out after the resin has dried. Resin will not stick to wax and therefore keep your thread clean. If you don't want to buy a resin and hardener for such a small repair I would suggest any of the industrial strength adhesives from the local hardware store. By the sounds of it you could well do more harm than good if you were to try and remove it. Leave it in place and just stick it down.
