just wondering if there are any restrictions about kiting around moored boats? (eg:distances and stuff)

well that runs all the fun
when im windsurfing i use them as a slalom course or gybe markers

Way too sketchy. If you get caught up on a mooring and the kite powers up it can drive you underwater. Not good for your health.

saw a dude in st kilda behind the breakwater last summer catch his lines on the mast of a moored keel boat there. wrapped the lines around the mast, causing the kite to progress to faster and faster kite loops, each time twisting the lines shorter and shorter (and the kite moving faster and faster)... The kite actually started to keel the boat moored boat right over on its ear. watched on in amazement with the kiter with his now released safety unable to do anything. eventually the twisted mess of lines snapped and the kite flew off into the sunset. Suprised it didnt snap the mast of the boat. Dunno what happened to the kite. but i'm that much more careful now.
