Check out a place called Guincho, not sure about spelling, but the place gets big waves off Atlantic, windsurfers have been going there for decades. Only down sind is, lokals will steal anything removable and will cut open you sleeping bag with a razor blade while your sleeping, to take your cash, as happend to a friend , she woke up in nikkers and had just her sleeping bag, everything else was gone!!!
