Gday,

you'll need a 55cm bar (idealy), with about 55-60cm of travel on the depower-line.

A shorter bar will work, but you'll find yourself having to really crank the handle to turn... this can be a good thing if you want to practive tricks where you don't want the bar/kite to move dramatically, but it will leave you feeling like you're flying a bus otherwise.

Basically, any bar will do just replace the centre-line (through the bar) with a longer length of 6mm 12 Braid Spectra (or similar, Amsteel etc.)

Cheers.

why is it you talk about naish and suddenly its shop talk. Hey some people ridding waroo kites are nailing some tricks. but why is it after a year, there all selling them. it wouldnt be because they r poorly made now?????????????... i talk to **** loads of people at diff locations, and 95% of people who own them all brag about there new kites. ONLY these people say the same **** every year. cause its the only way to justify there purchase to themself, by bragging how great the new one is.

And you differ these ("X" kite owning) folk to other ("Y" kite owning) folk by what major feat of rational analysis?

Just having a quick browse through classified advert's tells me that most of the 06/07 Waroos are selling at a good price for the seller, this means a smaller outlay for a new Waroo in 07/08. I've seen similar resale prices on 06 Waroos and 07 Links... I can understand why you may have encountered some crowing Waroo owners.

Two seasons on the one kite is OK if you dont mind the expectation of destroying it in the third season. Some folk have been forced to keep their kites for the second/third season because they simply can't afford to make a new purchase... being stuck with a dud kite from last season, that won't sell, sure doesn't help the issue.

I paid AU$200 (inclusive of freight from Perth to Melb) for a near brand spanking new 17m 04 Yarga last season (06), it's a dud kite (by most standards as it doesn't have much more bottom end than a good 14m), so Best haven't been without their lemons... but the Waroo doesn't fall into that category, this is clear from their resale value.

So youngbull, or is that fullabull, exactly what's your point?
