Well, I haven't quite a rational explanation about it, but the kite just sits there. I was curious about this too and first secured the kite with sand, but then decided to leave it without to see what would happen (I like living dangerously!

)... Answer: nothing...
I will ask JB what's the theory behind it, but matter of fact, it does stay there and doesn't suddenly go for a ride on its own. Well behaved kite!

they dont show it re-launching off the water but tell you it will easier then any other kite anyone seen or riddin one yet??????
Similar to the Rebel (or SLE's), just hold on to one of your back lines, the kite flips on the side (on the pointy bit of its leading edge) and relaunches directly from there (without slowly getting back to the edge of the window like a round leading edge does). Tip I've worked out: hold on to that back line until the kite is up in the air. If you release it before it is totally out of the water, it flips back to its leading edge.
But it
is easy as pie to relaunch it. I hadn't read any instruction about relaunch before flying it but got it out of the water on my first try and within few seconds...
